The world-renowned pitmaster and three-time British champion returned from a two-year tournament break to scoop first prize at a rib cooking contest in Birmingham on Sunday. The Rib Nights event at the Cafe Opus restaurant in Birmingham city centre pitted some of Britain's top barbecue teams against each other to serve up the juiciest pork ribs to 90 hungry guests.
The Midlands meat lovers then all voted for their favourite dish, giving Andy, who has also cooked for the Queen, their seal of approval for his lip-smacking St Louis style pork ribs.

" They are a nasty deep blues duo that sounds like a full band. The blues they play is the dirty old Mississippi kind. They sound just like Swampcandy and they will make you stomp feet and clap hands."
